Quite a few actresses have walked out of the César awards ceremony in Paris soon after Roman Polanski, who was convicted of the statutory rape of a 13 yr previous in 1977, won very best director.

The awards – France’s equal of the Oscars – have been mired in controversy immediately after Polanksi’s An Officer and a Spy been given 12 nominations.
