‘My journey to accept being a childless woman’ in Niger

It is believed that all over 50 million partners around the world encounter infertility problems.

In quite a few cultures females are held dependable when a pair encounters challenges to conceive. This social strain can normally lead to females becoming shunned, their husbands having further wives or even outcome in divorce.

Childless females, often witnessed as a load, are stigmatised and often encounter discrimination.

In Niger, filmmaker Aicha Macky, who herself is struggling to conceive, embarks on an emotional journey to investigate the topic of infertility within just her community.

She interviews associates of her spouse and children, buddies and many midwives seeking to establish her job in the society as a childless female.
