A single man or woman has been killed and extra than 40 hurt in a collision involving two trains on Mexico City’s underground method.

It is not clear still what brought on the collision but footage demonstrates just one of the trains mounted on top of the other.

The crash happened at 23:30 local time (05:30GMT) at Tacubaya station in the west of the metropolis.

Mexico Metropolis Mayor Claudia Sheinbaum reported 25 people experienced been taken to clinic but that none of them experienced sustained significant accidents.

An investigation into what brought about the collision is underway.

Tuesday’s accident is not the first deadly incident on Mexico City’s underground process. In 1975, two underground trains collided a Viaducto station killing 31 men and women.
