5 EU international locations have agreed to choose in some underage migrants who are stuck in Greece, amid continuing rigidity on the Greek-Turkish border.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen thanked Finland, France, Germany, Luxembourg and Portugal.

The figures for every state have not been announced yet – German media spoke of up to 1,500 in complete. They are little ones categorised as unaccompanied and/or pretty unwell.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will hold talks in Brussels on Monday evening with European Council President Charles Michel and Fee President von der Leyen.

At a news conference, Ms von der Leyen said Turkey should shift the asylum seekers away from the land border, as portion of a solution to the migrant disaster.

But she also said “we expect elementary legal rights to be upheld, together with the correct to asylum”.
