Cory Booker: Joe Biden picks up endorsement from former rival

Democratic presidential hopeful Joe Biden has picked up a different prize endorsement from a former rival, Cory Booker.

The New Jersey senator tweeted: “The solution to hatred & division is to reignite our spirit of frequent reason.”

He extra that Mr Biden “would not only win – he’ll demonstrate you will find more that unites us than divides us”.

Mr Biden and Bernie Sanders are vying to be the Democratic nominee who will encounter Donald Trump in November.

Ms Harris, who was the only black woman in the Democratic field prior to she finished her campaign in December, endorsed Mr Biden on Sunday.

The California senator’s thumbs-up has ignited speculation about no matter if Mr Biden may well select her as a operating mate if he wins the Democratic presidential nomination.

Each Ms Harris and Mr Booker, who is also African American, are predicted to seem alongside Mr Biden at a rally in Detroit, Michigan, on Monday evening.

Mr Booker will also reportedly campaign with Mr Biden in Flint, Michigan, previously in the day.
