Coronavirus: The Masters cancelled because of ongoing health crisis

The Masters has been postponed simply because of the coronavirus crisis.

The first men’s big championship of the 12 months was due to start off on 9 April at Augusta National in Georgia.

Fred Ridley, chairman of Augusta Countrywide, stated: “The wellbeing and nicely-remaining of everybody affiliated with these activities and the citizens of the Augusta local community led us to this determination.”

Previously on Friday, the PGA Tour stopped play until eventually soon after the Valero Texas Open up, which was scheduled to conclude on 5 April.
