This thread will only tell what webhosts Indxr works with, nothing else.

Today, Indxr works with:

— Mediatemple (DV)
— Mediatemple (GS)
— Mediatemple (SS)

— Dreamhost

— Surftown (any Apache)

— HostEurope (you may need WebPack L or higher for htaccess)

Runs fluidly Dreamhost after an obstacle with htaccess which was attended to by Andreas himself, sorted it out mighty fast!

Works with HostEurope in Germany - you may need WebPack L or higher for htaccess.

Hi, i'm trying to install it on Dreamhost but get 404 errors when i try to access to my admin area, I think this could be an .htaccess problem.

Also, can you tell me how to find out whats my basedir is?

Thanks

Hey, htaccess have been taken care of - shouldn't be a problem anymore. I reckon you may have botched one of the installation stages - maybe apache thing? Make sure you've put in .sulu into the dir (for the config.php)

Or you could email me your config.php file so I can clearly see what was applied wrong, etc.

1&1 anyone ?

Jul 28th 2008

FYI: For all Mediatemple users. Check your Admin Control Panel to make sure all services are active. My PHP was set to not-active as default. Also I disabled "safe mode" for PHP. Also, when you are creating your DB (DataBase), make sure to create a db user. For some reason the default db admin does not work.

Works like butter. ;)

For all 1&1 users :
The HTACCESS file (in V79 at least) is not compatible with 1&1. You have to change the first line of the file to :
AddType x-mapp-php5 .php
(of course this case applies to PHP5, must be slighty different if you choosed PHP4)

PS. seems its been corrected with v.80

bluehost.com is working for me.

all-inkl.com
You need to add the following line to your .htaccess file

AddHandler php-fastcgi .php .php4 .php3

The Webalizer stats tool might cause some problems, which may be solved with this addition.

I'm trying to set up on my web host (MT Gridserver). Have followed all the instructions, but when I have keyed all the access details into the system.php form and I click Save, nothing happens. It just posts the form to itself and all the fields are empty like they were before I started??!

Can you help?

GS has some weird things going on, you have to edit your config.php file manually until this is fixed.
Fixed.

For those wondering and having the problems with installing on a sub-domain in my case Bluehost:

"note: Bluehost.com does not support dynamic sub-domains. So you need to choose to put your blogs on sub-directoris"

For 1and1 users Appears it has been uncorrected with v.82, I had to use that code to get it to install for 1&1
